Patent law training has a new problem. AI can perform parts of patent attorney apprenticeship before the junior knows what the work requires. So how should firms use AI without skipping the experiences that build judgement? In this installment of the SLW Institute Coffee Break Webinar Series, “Training Patent Attorneys in the Age of AI,” SLW Principals Lucas Hjelle and Jeffrey Cobia will answer this question and show how AI’s role in patent attorney training should change as judgement develops. Using one invention as an example, this half-hour webinar walks through how attorneys at four different stages of their career should utilize AI. At every stage, the attorney stays responsible for the result.
