Schwegman Employees Solve a Different Kind of Puzzle at Annual Event
On October 17, Schwegman employees enjoyed one of the hallmarks of our firm culture: the annual Employee Recognition Party. As always, the party activity was kept secret until the event took place. After a catered lunch at the Minneapolis Convention Center, the activity was revealed: It was an escape room-themed SmartHunt. Schwegman provides employee events such as this every year to thank staff and attorneys for their hard work.
During the SmartHunt, teams used iPads to complete puzzles and challenges around the convention center. Teams with names such as “Fangs for the Memories” and “Give ‘em Pumpkin to Talk About” earned points and had a lot of fun in the process. Participants answered trivia, took photos and solved puzzles. After points were tallied, the top three teams were awarded medals. Then each employee (whether they were from the winning teams or not) had the opportunity to choose a thank-you gift from the firm.
Schwegman puts on annual events to thank employees for the exceptional work they do for our clients. The firm understands that when people are treated with appreciation, the result is a staff who gives their very best effort. This years’ event (and many other events) were planned by Executive Director Vicky Hawes and Human Resources Administrator Susan Crosson.
Schwegman prides itself on being a positive workplace. The firm is committed to creating a work environment with room for growth, family-friendly hours, and a casual environment. Schwegman is an environment that fosters creativity and an incentive to work hard and have fun. We strive to treat every employee equally – with respect and the freedom to do the best job they can.
Since 1993 Schwegman has endeavored to find the best people and then to keep them by treating them with respect and giving them the opportunity to grow in their job.
