Hats Off to Software Patent Haters

Ever since I have been in the patent bar (1982) and have been involved with software patents there has always been one thing that has not changed: some software developers simply HATE software patents. Whatever the reasons (and there are many), I respect and admire the passion of the opponents to software patents. These developers form a unique, vibrant and critical element of our software industry and their contribution to our economy should be honored and appreciated by all.
