AIA Patent Trials are not District Court Litigation

I was surprised by some of the observations made by commentators in the wake of the first AIA patent trial (SAP v. Versata, CBM2012-00001).  Perhaps the most surprising observation is that the first AIA patent trial was not like a district court trial.
