Marvin L. Beekman is a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice in Minnesota and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since 1994. His practice includes patent prosecution, intellectual property counseling, and opinions. Marv’s technological areas include biomedical devices, electronics, integrated circuit design and fabrication, computer hardware, software including machine learning/artificial intelligence, control systems, e-commerce, and telecommunications. He represents individual inventors as well as large, mid-size and small businesses, and he manages patent portfolios for both established and start-up businesses. Marv works to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions with the aim of helping to advance his client’s business goals. He has in-house experience, previously serving as Attorney/Director of Operations for a maturing engineering company. Marv received his B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Dordt College and his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association.
