Laurie Young has transitioned to Schwegman from working in-house as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel and Data Privacy officer. In her role as in-house counsel she advised the company on freedom to operate matters, patent and trademark strategies and associated intellectual property agreements. Laurie has a mechanical engineering background and enjoys learning new technologies.

In her free time, Laurie loves to bake. She enjoys entering cookies in the Minnesota State Fair baking competition, and in 2014 she won a first place award. She also won a fifth place in 2013 and a fifth place in 2011.
